College credit and tuition awards are available to Tech Center students who complete a prescribed program of study and attain sufficient levels of success equivalent to that school’s accepted standards. Transferable credit is also available with minimal course registration fees at several colleges. The information below lists current articulation agreements with maximum credit to be awarded for the 2009-2010 school year. Please note that additional articulation agreements are currently under review and may be added to this list. Course Description

This program is designed for students who are considering a career in teaching or child care in the early childhood field.   The course focuses specifically on working with children from birth through 8 years old.  The program features integrated academic and professional instruction, competency-based field experience, and preparation for post-secondary study. Course content includes program management, child development, creative arts, literacy and language development, working with special needs children, and working with families.   Students are expected to work effectively as team members in both the classroom and workplace.   Students in this program pursue a post-secondary degree at two- or four-year colleges.
