College credit and tuition awards are available to Tech Center students who complete a prescribed program of study and attain sufficient levels of success equivalent to that school’s accepted standards. Transferable credit is also available with minimal course registration fees at several colleges. The information below lists current articulation agreements with maximum credit to be awarded for the 2009-2010 school year. Please note that additional articulation agreements are currently under review and may be added to this list. Course Description

As businesses and individuals become increasingly dependent on computer technology, the need for skillful servicing continues to grow. A shortage of technicians is already being felt – ensuring that there is no shortage of job opportunities in this field!

In the Microcomputer Technology course, you will be introduced to the world of telecommunications, with an emphasis on computer networking. Digital and analog electronic theory, systems, and interfacing will be explored. You will have hands-on experiences with power supplies, circuit boards, cables, wave guides, and computer systems. During the first year, you will be involved in A+ certification preparations; the second year will focus on CISCO networking certification preparation.
