Course Description
Masons are not just bricklayers. They are skilled artisans who build arches; cut stone walls;  prepare ornamental paths, patios, and concrete foundations; and fabricate granite countertops for houses and tilework of all types. Most of a masons work is seen and will be around for generations to observe. In this course you can build just about every type of wall imaginable, as well as chimneys, barbecue pits, arches, piers, steps, and foundations. You will use state-of-the-art hand and power tools such as laser levels, gas powered chop saws, tile saws, grinders, and carbide chisels, plus your imagination and creativity. In addition, this course will teach you how to read blue prints and estimate the materials for the price of a job. You will be assisted in resume and portfolio preparation to help in your employment search or college application.
