The School Communications Service takes publicity, branding and community engagement to a whole new level, using a wide array of traditional and new media tools including mobile apps, e-newsletters and social media. Districts may contract with BOCES for a communications specialist to work in-district providing whatever communications services are needed.

BOCES’ school communications professionals have decades of experience in mass media, crisis management, branding, fundraising, web content and social media. The staff includes a former foreign correspondent, Pulitzer Prize contenders, and former editors at top magazines like Vogue as well as former broadcast journalists and marketing professionals.

The School Communications Service collaborates frequently with the Creative Services Department at PNW BOCES. Creative Services was also recognized for excellence in graphic design and video production for work done on behalf of PNW BOCES.
