Pines Bridge and Walden Students Enjoy Checking Out Police Cars

May 17, 2019

Walden and Pines Bridge School students found out what the inside of a police car looks like during a visit Friday by two local policemen.
Croton-on-Hudson Officer Kevin Ward and State Trooper Dean Borgese, of Troop K’s Somers barracks, came by the schools to meet students and show them some of the features of their cars – including the very popular siren. Ward’s wife Sara, who is a lifeguard for Putnam | Northern Westchester BOCES, helped arrange the visit.
Students enjoyed turning turns sitting in the cars and receiving stickers: “The car is really cool,” said eight-year-old Antonio Occhicone. Added his classmate, Brandon Melendez, “I liked the car – it’s fun to see it.”
