Physical Therapy Students at BOCES Learn from a Pro

April 06, 2018

Intro to Physical Therapy students at The Tech Center at PNW BOCES had the chance to see real work in action when occupational therapist Karen Mandelkow visited their class.

“She gave our students a riveting two-hour hands-on workshop and had students simulate real-world experiences,” said Center for Technical Education teacher Will Brightman.

“The students were introduced to various scenarios and had to play the role of the ‘patient’ and ‘therapist,’” Brightman said. “Mrs. Mandelkow packed in lots of hands-on activities. My students now have greater insight and appreciation for this dynamic field.”
