New Visions Health Takes Safety Seriously

May 06, 2019

As part of their study of health care and safety, New Visions Health students gave presentations about health-care responses to mass casualties, weather, natural disasters, chemical warfare, and pandemics.

“Career and Technical Education teacher Robert Cuomo gave a lecture and PowerPoint about his experiences with the Putnam County Emergency Response Team and explained how the team was activated during winter storms Riley and Quinn in 2018,” said New Visions Health teacher Veronica Farlow.
“It was interesting to learn about all the components of the Emergency Response Team, and it was a great learning experience for the students to understand the role of health care in disaster situations.”
