Career and Technical Education Students Awarded

Twenty-seven Career and Technical Education students from Putnam | Northern Westchester BOCES received scholarships, awards and recognition from area companies and foundations recently. Memorial scholarships were also awarded.
“We are here to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of these young people,” said PNW BOCES’ District Superintendent Dr. James Ryan. “They have such a wide range of options available to them.”
The scholarships and awards were presented to Robert Hildrew (Mahopac), Hailey Hernandez (Carmel), Ke’Ajahnai Ridenhour (Hendrick Hudson), Jessica Reiner (North Salem), Kevin Valdes (Mahopac), Jack Arevalo (Mahopac), Frank DiGaudio (Mahopac), Yarnall Wilson (North Salem), Dillon Lennon (Carmel), Andrew Oakley (Carmel), Destiny Sutter (Carmel), Esteban Fernandez (Carmel), Jimmy Tapia (Bedford), Benjamin Rivera (Carmel), Brenna Corrigan (Lakeland), Brianna Lux (Somers), Samantha Mills (Lakeland), Michelle Quintuna (Ossining), Heather Van Asselt (Croton-Harmon), Caitlin Varone (Lakeland), Austin Grant (Hendrick Hudson), Jaques Vermandois (Peekskill), Eric Holmbo (Haldane), and Nyarai Jokonya (Putnam Valley).
With more than 40 programs to choose from, CTE students have a wide array of opportunities available to them. Students study everything from sports medicine, engineering, architecture, fashion and health to auto body, carpentry, barbering, film and so much more.
