Barbering Clinic Open Every Wednesday at BOCES

March 26, 2018

They may be young, but they sure are talented! Barbering students at The Tech Center at PNW BOCES have been demonstrating their remarkable professional skills each week at a clinic, open to the public, every Wednesday on the Yorktown campus.

“My students are really, really good at what they do, because they have so much experience in class,” said their teacher Kerriane Taylor. “They are very professional!” The students are trained in every aspect of barbering, from cutting, buzzing and trimming hair and beards, to facials, blow-dry styles and more.

Students offer shampoo and blow-dry services for $5; clipper cuts for $6; long-hair scissor cuts for $8; outlines for $3; beard trims for $4; eyebrow trims for $3; facial trims for $3; scalp treatments for $5; head/shoulder massages for $5; designs for $5 to $15; shaves for $8; and facials for $10. The clinic is open every Wednesday from 12:15 to 1:45 pm.
