Prime Minister of Canada Apologizes to Indigenous Peoples

According to WNYC's show The Takeaway, the Prime Minister of Canada, Stephen Harper, will apologize to the aboriginal students of Canada for the abuse they suffered while forced to attend residential and industrial schools under the Indian Act of 1872.  This apology is in the tradition of De Klerk's apology for "pain and suffering" endured under apartheid in South Africa.
