The engines may be small, but they carry a lot of weight. They power such machines as motorcycles, snowmobiles, jet skis, outboards, golf carts, power sprayers, chain saws, and all kinds of lawn and garden equipment. They require technicians with advanced levels of knowledge and skill to keep them in top working order. Possessing this knowledge and skill will put you in great demand by the many types of repair shops that handle these pieces of machinery.

This course covers a wide variety of mechanisms and theories of operation that will enable you to follow a career in one of the related fields. Among the subjects taught are two- and four-stroke cycle theory of operation, fuel systems, ignition systems, hand tools, traction devices, manual transmissions, and other related mechanisms.
